Isabel Alonso Belmonte, Manager
Dr. Isabel Alonso Belmonte holds a M.A. in Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Education and a Ph.D. in English Philology from the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain). She currently works as an EFL associate professor at the University Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), where she has been training Primary and Secondary EFL pre service and in service teachers for more than 10 years now. As for her research, her areas of specialization are discourse analysis and applied linguistics to language teaching (both Spanish and English as a foreign language), areas in which she has extensively published. At the present moment, she leads the UAM DAIC (Discourse Analysis and Intercultural Communication) research group at the University Autónoma of Madrid (UAM SOC PR/009) and participates in several national and international projects on foreign language teacher training in primary and secondary education in a European context.
